2012 Is Coming!

The 100th and the last post of the year 2011. Let us welcome the year 2012, but don't forget our goodbyes to the year 2011.

To the year 2011,

I really wish I could hug you before you leave. I've learnt a lot from you. You taught me time waits for no man. You taught me not to waste time in vain. You taught me to appreciate the people around me even more. You taught me to .....

I've completed the first year of bachelor's degree with you. I've got myself involve in Amway business with you. My life have undergone lots of changes with you.

I'll always remember that you have once appeared in my life!

To the year 2012,

How do you do? We are going to be friends starting from tomorrow. I can't wait to learn new things from you. I can't wait to know what surprise and challenges you will give me.

Will you bring me more happiness or sadness? Will you support and give me a hand in my future endeavors? Will you end the world just like the one portrayed in the movie (2012)? Will you.....

Anyway, nice to meet you and hope we can live well with each other.

See you in another 9 hours. =D

New Year's Eve

Skytrex adventure is cancelled. Only God knows what happened, but I roughly can guess what happened between those who are going.

Sighed. Next time then.

Still have a potluck party tonight! Must enjoy to the max.

Those who have plans for countdown tonight, have a blast!

Happy New Year's eve to ALL.

I Felt Perfect

Watched Black Swan on my lappy last night before going to bed. All my friends told me the movie is really awesome but I couldn't feel the 'awesomeness' until I have watched it.

'I felt perfect.' The line spoken by Nina Sayers (starred by Natalie Portman) at the end gave me the deepest impression. Not a happy ending but one of the best endings.

I slept at 4am and woke up at 9am. Scenes from the movie keep running in my mind. Zzzz.

Have a great day on the eve of the new year's eve.

What's Your New Year's Eve Plan?

Going for Skytrex adventure and a potluck party this coming New Year Eve. I think this is my first time joining a potluck party, and I will be preparing jellies!

Really looking forward to it. =D

To know more about Skytrex adventure, click here.

Happy new year in advance to all of you, and enjoy whatever you have planned to do during the New Year's eve.

Adios.

Merry Xmas!

Finally back to my home sweet home after 2 weeks of Xmas Caroling in Genting. I'm starting to miss everyone and everything there. Wish to have a chance to carol in Genting again next year!

My body is feeling uncomfortable as it is trying to adapt the KL's weather. I'm feeling that my body is burning on the inside.

Anyway, Merry Christmas to all.

Enjoy the video below made my UTAR students:

Retour à Genting

Due to having examination, I travelled back to KL last night. I took my French paper just now at 2pm and I'm currently in Genting already. The paper was pretty OK and I will seriously chop my head off if I do not pass the subject. LOL

I thought we will be late since we have bought the bus ticket (RM9.30) few days earlier, which is at 5pm depart from KL Sentral to Genting Skyway, then only to First World Hotel. The journey is about one and half hour, excluding the time for traffic jam and waiting for the cable car.

Since we want to minimise the possibility of being late for the caroling at 7pm, we decided to finish our papers earlier and asked our friend to fetch us to Titiwangsa bus station. We rushed to the counter and managed to buy 4.30pm bus tickets (RM5.90) which will skip the Skyway and reach straight to the First World Hotel.

We are going back to KL next Monday night for another examination. No more wasting another RM9.30. Wrong decision will always make you become wiser. LOL

I got to go now. Ciao.

Xmas Caroling in Genting

I'm currently in Room 17765 of First World Hotel. It's been awhile since I last came to Genting.

The purpose of coming here this time is totally different from previous visits - I'm here to work! Thanks to the person who introduce this awesome part time job for me. Accommodation, RM840 for meals and RM1100 salary are provided. XD

Starting from tomorrow, I will be caroling in Genting until Christmas Day. Do visit Genting this two weeks and try to spot me there! =P

Merry Christmas in advance, really advance indeed, to all.

Good night.

Good Good Day

Study leave have just started. To me it's just like a holiday.
Had an awesome buffet lunch with my classmates.
Did some shopping in Pavillion and bought some discounted goods.
Bumped into friends that I have not seen for quite some time.
Registered the time table that is fairly OK for me.

That really sum up my good day. Good night peeps. =)

Last Study Week

It's almost the end of the month, but I only just realised I have not written any post for this month.

I'm addicted to Pokemon Black and White version recently. That's why. =P

This week will be the last study week of my short trimester, and there is one assignment left which apparently is the hardest one - photo essay. The topic that I have chosen is the efforts of Pure Life Society in taking care of the welfare of the orphans.

I think I have chosen the wrong topic. Problems come after problems. I'm submitting this assignment in less than one week. GG.

I really don't want to screw this up. God bless me.

ZzzZzz

Line sucks and I'm not in the mood to write anything. I'll just post some trailers of the movies that I've mentioned in the previous post. If you haven't watched these movies, I guess you should! =D

A Random Update

Went to True Fitness for free trial on Wednesday. The trainer was trying to kill me. I felt my muscles were stretching to their maximum. I supposed to rest early that night but I only slept six hours as I had 8am class the next day.

Yesterday played futsal with my classmates in the evening. Another 2-hour vigorous sports. My stamina got depleted easily because I did not have enough rest. I was only able to fall asleep at 2am that night and woke up at 6am.

I really hate morning classes. I guess nobody likes though. SCREW them.

Today, I basically can sleep anywhere. I'm totally worn out. But the movie review organised by UTAR Film Club keeps me awake in the afternoon as they are screening a Thailand horror movie entitled 'Shutter'.

It was really a good movie with creepy scenes and frightening sound effects, but the storyline is a little too predictable. I still prefer 'Don't be Afraid of the Dark'. The child has impressive acting skills and the climax almost took my breath away.

Anyway, I am still craving for 'Real Steel'. Hope to catch the movie soon.

I need more rest now. Good night. =)

Steve Jobs Was Great?

I read an well-written article by Neeraj Thakur, a columnist from India, in Facebook just now. He thought that the death of Steve Jobs was overrated by the people around the world.

Steve Jobs Wasn't Great; He Wasn't Even Close - by Neeraj Thakur

What makes you great to the world, so much so that you become the ‘greatest’ of your times? Is greatness the title for those who become successful in their respective fields? Or is it that everyone who appears on TV has the chance of attaining greatness? Steve Jobs, who died fighting pancreatic cancer, being showered with so much love and respect raises this question.

While any celebrity has a right to an obituary, posthumous encomiums
(pieces of writing that praises Steve highly after his death) by way of comparison with other greats should not happen just because of the bankruptcy of a particular age in producing truly great individuals.

What defines Steve Jobs? The fact that he could make people go crazy about his company’s products?

If marketing is what makes you great, then our Indian politicians are the greatest, because they market themselves so well that even after their failures in one term after another, we keep voting them back to power. If making a new product is what makes you great, then there are many new products being invented everywhere in the world. Yes, the claim to launching the first personal computer goes to Jobs, but he was not behind its invention; he was the chief of the company that invented it. Any man heading the company that has a product to sell can do what he did.

To those who think he revolutionised cell phones, the fact is he just re-packaged his products by mixing up what was already out there in the form of already available gadgets/software like Blackberry, Palm, Windows, etc. A man becomes truly great for humankind and his passing away deserves mass mourning only if he has done something to better the lives of his fellow beings, overcoming personal greed and lust for power.

While all of us take our newborn kids to have ‘Do boond zindagi ki’
(I don't know what this means), to save our kids from the life-crippling polio virus, very few would know why those life drops come for free. There are many other diseases, medication for which does not come even at a reasonable cost, forget having it free.

The man who invented the polio vaccine, Jonas Edward Salk, decided not to patent his invention. After seven years of rigorous research, when he had the chance to become a billionaire, much like Jobs did, he refused to do so. When someone asked him ‘Who owns the patent of the vaccine, he replied, ‘Can anyone patent the sun?’ In civilisation’s history of one individual bettering the lives of fellow humans, can Jobs stand anywhere close to Salk?

Jobs did not even eradicate poverty with the immense wealth he accumulated by selling his so-called great products, invented by scientists who worked in his company. Instead, he rather stopped all philanthropist activity by Apple in 1997, saying philanthropy can ‘wait until we are profitable.’ Today, Apple is one of the world’s most valued companies (sitting on $40 billion cash) and ironically, it is perhaps the only one in its category that has no philanthropic contribution worth talking about.

I don’t own any Apple product, and most Apple aficionados
(a person who likes something so much and knows a lot about it) would accuse me of commenting on something that I don’t use. I am not commenting on the products he sold; I am commenting on the tears that are being unjustifiably shed on the death of a rich man. I am not taking anything away from Jobs as an entrepreneur, and the fact is that he was an inspiration for his company. But I find it difficult to accept the belittling of the very notion of greatness by bestowing it on those who worked for themselves and promoted the noxious idea that ‘profit motivates humans’, a theory that would have never given us the polio vaccine.

A really different and brilliant thought. =D

CANCER????

Most of you might be fooled by the title of this post. It is not the cancer that you have thought just now. I'm not having it and nobody around me is having it neither.

TOUCHWOOD.

What I mean is the fourth astrological sign in the Zodiac. Those who are born between 21 June and 23 July are known as cancerians.

I saw one of my friends wrote this on Facebook just now and I find it so damn accurate for me. It is about the personalities that a cancerian possesses:

巨蟹座

最善良最细心最敏感的星座、最重视亲情、对待爱人无微不至;
敏感,不计较,很重感情;脾气很硬!

巨蟹很需要安全感,很聪明、冷静;

English version: (Sorry if the translation is bad)

Cancer

The kindest, the most attentive and the most sensitive zodiac sign. Family is always their priority and take care of them in every possible way. Not calculative, affectionate and a bad tempered person.

Cancerians need strong sense of security. They are smart, calm, patient and naive. They hate hypocrisy and lies. They hardly reveal their true feelings and sufferings. They seem childish on the surface, but deep inside their hearts there are mature thoughts.

Cancerians could be a little neurotic, a weirdo and unpredictable. ;)

To those who are cancerians out there, *HI FIVE*. LOL

I think the interpretation above missed out the most important characteristic of a cancerian.

Narcissistic. =P

Doomy Days

I'm so down at the moment. Result had released two days ago. It sucks. It was not as good as I had expected earlier. Did I make careless mistakes terribly? Were my answers not clear and simple enough? Or were my answers could not satisfy the examiners' tastes? I wondered.

I knew result was not everything. Therefore, I should take it easy and try to make changes in order to see a better result the next time. While we can't laugh at the same joke over and over again, we can't be gloomy about bad things over and over again. =)

Having said that, I still felt something was wrong. I wish I could take back my papers and check the mistakes that I've done. I wanted to appeal. Unfortunately, a payment of RM100 is required for the appeal of each unit grade. The fee will be refunded if the appeal is successful and VICE VERSA.

I started to ponder. What kind of system is this? It is totally unfair to the students and this might be one of their business tricks. Is it really difficult to allow students to get back their papers and take some time to discuss? I will write a letter and question them about this matter.

Anyway, I'm ready to move on. Next trimester awaits me! =D

Salsa Dance

Anyone of you are interested in salsa dance?

I'm always interested in learning dances but I've never taken the initiative to sign up for any classes. Laziness really kills.

I also not very sure if I would be committed to learn them once I've signed up. I guess I'll find excuses for myself. =P

Anyway, I saw a video on Facebook yesterday night and found it very very impressing. Two teens rocked the India's Got Talent stage with their stunning moves and expressions. It is the most amazing salsa dance I've watched so far.

I bet they will win the title in the finale. They deserve it. Wish them all the best!

Detox Camp

Hey peeps, I've just got back from the 3D2N detoxification camp. I went to the washroom for a few times after I reached home. You would put yourself at stake if you happened to use my toilet now. LOL.

Before I went for this camp, my family and friends asked me the same question, "You are so thin, why do you have to go for this kind of camp?" Well, people always think of detox camp is only for those people who are bulky and want to cut down their weights.

As the technology revolves in our rapidly-changing world, we are actually exposed to more pollutants in our environment such as industrial waste, processed food, cigarette smokes and etc. The idea of detoxification is to clear the excessive toxic we've inhaled out of our bodies.

Another benefit of detox is that it helps us to maintain a healthy digestive system. Some people are too thin or too chubby is due to the malfunction of the body mechanism to absorb the nutrients normally. After detoxing, a person is able to gain weight or lose weight easily and healthily.

During the detox period (3-7 days), ONLY vegetable and fruit juice are allowed. Strictly no biting and chewing. Take health supplements such as protein, calcium, vitamin B, C, E and etc to prevent hunger and obtain sufficient nutrients during the period.

There is much more to tell. I can't keep on writing as I want to go for a nap. If anyone out there wants to look young and have a satisfying weight, approach me and I will not mind sharing the info with you.

God of Duke is waiting for me. Ciao.

October

Time really waits for no man. Another month has just started and I am already in the second week of my semester break.

Been busy keeping in touch with my old friends lately. I've joined a choir team recently and last Friday we made an audition video for a part time job. If we got chosen, we will be carolling in Genting starting from 12th December until Christmas. Meals, accommodation, and salary will be provided! =D

By the way, I will be going a detoxification camp next weekend in Genting. My mum asked me the reason to go for this camp. She thought I am really not suitable for this camp because I'm slim. Well, actually detox camp is good for those want to slim down and gain fat healthily besides clearing the toxic out of your body.

I'm feeling so good in this brand new month!

I don't really know why. At least I know I'm making full use of my holiday by joining fun activities.

Take care peeps. Hope to meet some of you during my semester break.

Back to KL

Hey, peeps. I'm back! An awesome food trip in Penang and Ipoh.

Places we have visited:

1. Gurney Plaza

Visited the eateries nearby to enjoy various cuisine such as grilled fish, fried oyster omelette, char kuey teow, prawn mees and etc. After dinner, we went to the plaza for awhile to get some groceries.

2. 1st Avenue Mall

It's a newly opened city mall in the heart of Georgetown along Jalan Magazine. The mall spreads over 7 retail levels. The architecture of the building is very modern and stylish.

3. Paradise Sandy Beach

One of the most famous beaches in Penang. Beaches are my favorite. I really enjoyed the breeze and the sound of seawaves.

4. Chew Jetty

The biggest waterfront village in Georgetown. 'Chew' is a famous last name and this means that the entire long stretch of jetty are residents with the surname 'Chew'. A must-visit tourist attraction.

5. Penang Road Cendol Stall

Located in a quite secluded street near Prangin Mall. Well, I think the Melaka one is still the best. =P

6. Penang Hill

The railway system has improved vastly. I remembered taking half an hour to reach the hill and the rail is stuffy. Now, it only takes about 5 minutes and the rail has good ventilation with air conditioner.

7. Kek Lok Si Temple

The largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia. Also known as The Temple of Supreme Bliss. We also visited a eatery nearby for the most famous Asam Laksa in Penang.

8. Lou Wong Restaurant

Ate the Ipoh's famous bean sprout chicken and kuey teow here. We also went to the shop nearby to buy local products.

I'm still waiting my friend to upload the photos. Stay tuned for my Facebook! =D

p/s: The image above is my most favorite photo taken during the trip.

Bye, Y1T2. Hello, Penang!

Year 1 Trimester 2 is officially over. I'm FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Almost-a-month semester break awaits me. =D

Just finished my dinner and currently packing my luggage. In less than 12 hours I will be on my way to 'The Pearl of the Orient'.

I've been missing Penang so much - the food, the beaches and the bitches. (What the hell? LOL)

Will be off for three days and back on 24th September. Guys, don't miss me k! Muacks. =P

Happy Holiday

I will be officially free after 4pm tomorrow.

Something that I have been looking forward to - HOLIDAY!

All the best to myself and my classmates for the final paper tomorrow!

Snowflake & Penang, wait for me! =D

Presented to you, a cheerful song entitled 'Happy Holiday' by Rachel Liang (梁文音).

4 Down, 1 More To Go

Sorry for deserting my blog for quite some time. I am in the middle of an exam period. xD

Four down, one more to go. Last paper on 21st September. Need to wait almost one week. Booooooooring.

After the paper is done, I'm off to Penang for FOOD trip with my classmates. I love food so much. I'm a gourmand. Really looking forward to it. =D

So far all the papers are quite OK. At least they were not as hard as the A-level papers that I'd taken last two years - Maths, Physics, Economics & Further Maths (which I dropped in the end). Pffffffft.

I could say A-level is really a good foundation course for university as it requires student to have critical thinking in various subjects. The bad thing about A-level is it does not have coursework for students to do some hands-on work.

I suffered in the last semester as I couldn't get used to handling assignmentSSS. But things are getting better now and I'm ready for the 3rd semester.

A short semester with 7 weeks. Need to cover up 14 weeks of lectures and tutorials. Classes are doubled up. It's gonna be HARDCORE. LOL

Take care peeps. =)

One Day Trip to Kuala Selangor

Visited Kuala Selangor yesterday with my mum, sister, aunt and her boyfriend. Together with other families, we were on a tour bus to 'Abode of Sincerity' at around 9a.m.

The first stop of the day. Kuil Buddha Siam. (释迦中心)

My Chinese zodiac! >.<

The huge golden pig! My sister's Chinese zodiac is not pig anyway.

This is her Chinese zodiac, Rabbit.

Mum with her Chinese zodiac golden statue.

Golden dragon statue.

The second destination of our trip. A factory that manufactures bird's nest. Nothing much to see though.

Behind me is a building where they raise swallows and collect their saliva.

The best dish of our lunch, Tom Yam Prawns.

The Bukit Melawati was the next visit, where they are lots of monkeys and macaques. This was the first monkey that I met during the visit.

Troupes of silver leaf monkeys and long-tailed macaques.

Look at the child and the monkey. They were not afraid of each other!

Mum did not hesitate to take a picture with monkeys after she realised that they were harmless. Haha.

A monkey with its baby with vivid orange fur, colloquially known as golden monkey.

Have a closer look. Hundreds of them. @.@

A scenery of Sekinchan village (适耕庄). It was about to rain that time.

Young rice plant.

The weather kinda spoiled the beauty of this picture. =.=

The best dish of our dinner, 'Buddha jumps over the wall' (佛跳墙). LOL

After the dinner, we went to Sekichan Village Food House which is nearby the restaurant to hunt for local products.

On the way back home. Specky and nerdy-look siblings.

Last camwhore of the day. =P

Sekian, terima kasih.

A Bad Trip on Independence Day

One of the suckest trip ever. I would rather stay at home.

The tour bus is a crap. A reckless and lost driver. Screw the traffic jam and any other hassles today.

I'm off for a shower now. I will update the good side of the trip in the next day. Stay tuned peeps.

Anyway, I wish that I'm not too late to say Happy 54th Birthday, Malaysia!

Selamat Hari Raya

Had a great dinner just now with my family in IOI Mall's Sakae Sushi. =P

By the way, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to those who are celebrating the new year! Enjoy your holiday peeps.

I'm going to bed now. Need to wake up at 6am the next day for a family trip to Sekinchan village.

Good night!

Rasa Sayang 2.0

A nice theme song for the upcoming local movie, Nasi Lemak 2.0:

The movie will be released on 8th September. Unfortunately, I can't watch on that day as I'm having the first paper for my final examinations. Ish.

Anyway, I'll find a right time to watch this movie. =P

I Am Who I Am

I'm not sure how many of you listen to this song before, but it's a song that truly inspires me.

我有我自己的梦,自己会走,就算再寂寞。
I have my dream and I'll pursue it on my own, even though it means lonelier.

我不怕狂风暴雨,将我淹没,毅然往前走。
I'm determined to move on despite trials and tribulations.

相信我还是我!
I believe I'm still me!

Be yourself, but you can always made changes to become a better person. Believe in yourself, and never stop chasing your dreams.

I wanna retire before the age of 35, that's my dream. It is kinda absurd, but I know it is not impossible.

Guys, all the best.

Mission Accomplished

I've got a feeling that cannot be described right now. I've completed all my assignments for this semester! Perhaps I could just smile like Obama from the picture above. LOL

Today is a great day. Presentation for English for Mass Communication went well and the last-minute work for Radio Broadcasting assignments turned out to be.... Hmm... not to say very good but it is satisfactory. =D

After the last submission tomorrow, I'm totally done with this semester's coursework.

I'm gonna enjoy for a few days before start doing my revision for final examinations.

Movies, karaoke session, food trip, party and what else?

A lot of plans in my head now. Anyway, I'm off for anime. XD

Catch you later, peeps.

Hater

The topic for this post is totally random. It just came to my mind suddenly.

How would you feel if a person does not appreciate what he/she has right now?
How would you feel if a person always make a huge deal out of ANYTHING?
How would you feel if a person is a know-it-all and narrow-minded?
How would you feel if a person doesn't believe you when you're telling the truth?
How would you feel if a person always contradict him/herself?

My advice: Don't become a hater. You will find more happiness when you hate less. After all, nobody is perfect.

I hardly hate people. It is not the way I live my life. But if you really want me to, by all means. =)

I'm saying something which contradict my advice. Crap. No wonder some people will hate me. LOL. I think I am too stress lately. I can't even understand what I have just said. Zzzz.

I'd better go to bed now. Good night.

Ganbatte!

Advertising campaign proposal
Drama production
Commercial production
News production
Group presentation for magazine
Group presentation for the topic 'Euthanasia'

Few more assignments to go, and exams are coming up next.

Jeffrey, stay tough and strong! =)

I'm not really a big fan of Super Junior, but I'm addicted to this song recently.

Ciao.

MV Shooting

Just back from a music video shooting. I'm totally worn out but I have loads of fun today. I get to play the Garden cafe's white grand piano in The Curve, and it's been awhile since I last went to The Curve. I enjoyed wandering around there. xD

Fortunately, my sickness and sore throat do not get worse today. Thanks to my mum who made a herbal tea for me. Being a talent is never an easy job, but I do get some valuable experiences from being one.

Saw this joke on Facebook and I would like to share it here.

Dad: I want u to marry a girl of my choice.
Son: No!
Dad: The girl is Bill Gates' daughter.
Son: Then ok.

Dad goes to Bill Gates...

Dad: I want your daughter to marry my son.
Bill Gates: No!
Dad: My son is the CEO of the World Bank.
Bill Gates: Then ok.

Dad goes to the President of the World Bank...

Dad: Appoint my son as the CEO of your bank.
President: No!
Dad: He is the son-in-law of Bill Gates.
President: Then ok!

This is BUSINESS!

Good night peeps.
