A New Star is Born

Yesterday was the final for the One Million Star (超级星光大道). The expectations are positive. A singer from Malaysia, Lee Jia Wei, got CHAMPION! Congratulations to her and I hope her future in the entertainment industry is as bright as ever! Below are the two songs she sang that got her full marks (60/60) and became the winner - 回家 (Going Home) by 顺子(Shunza) and Listen by Beyonce.

Malaysians are very proud of you! When you release your first album, I will buy one for sure! Lee Jia Wei, GANBATTE! =D

Lee Jia Wei

Watched One Million Star (超级星光大道) yesterday. Awesome performances by the Top 8 finalists. But the participant who could only touch my heart with her singing was Lee Jia Wei, a 22-year-old girl who has a powerful and comfort voice. I was crying on the spot when she sang this song, 勇敢 (Courage) by 张惠妹 (Ah-Mei).

I guess she should deserved more than 30 marks, shouldn't her? In the second round, her performance is even more splendid when she sang with Ding Dang (丁当), a professional singer who has a powerful voice too. Lee Jia Wei and Ding Dang are definitely a perfect combination!

Congrats Jia Wei for getting full marks in both rounds! You made the Malaysians proud! Hope you can become the CHAMPION in the finale! All the best! =D

Back to KL!

I have just came back from Sabah trip on Thursday midnight. It was a tiring trip as I did not really sleep well for the past few days. Slept average 4 hours per day, I guess. But it was an awesome trip with my fellow college classmates even though the weather was not really friendly to us - raining and foggy. Wherever we went, the rain would follow us. The fog made driving more difficult and we could not see the view of the magnificent Mount Kinabalu while we were in Kundasang.

However, all these could not resist us from having fun. We still followed the tentative itinerary as much as we could so that we would not get any disappointment from the trip. As long as we are together, we can just enjoy ourselves under any condition. When we were heading back to KL, all of us thought the time passed too fast and wished the trip would extend few more days.

I was glad when I reached home as I finally could get a nice sleep. I slept until 12pm on the next day. I could not sleep any longer because I had Pengajian Malaysia (PM) class at 2pm. When I reached my faculty, I realised that tutorial class have started on Friday as I read the notice board (Initially I was informed that there isn't any tutorial class on the first week), which means that I have missed the morning tutorial class.

I was like, WTH! The office did not bother to inform me when they knew I would not attend class for four days and see the notice. Then, the PM lecturer was late and my name was not in her attendance list. I found out that the office did not register my name for the subject. This sucks and I felt kind of piss off!

You better improve on your efficiency or I will screw you all up one day, the MANAGEMENT OFFICE OF THE FACULTY OF CREATIVE INDUSTRIES! (LOL, as if I could do that =P)

Lifeless

For those who do not know, I am quite lifeless for these past few weeks. I did not go to work to make some pocket money, I did not learn anything useful to increase my knowledge, I did not play my X-box to kill my free time, I did not update my blog frequently, I did not.... All my time is wasted in vain.

I did hang out with friends but I think I have talked less than usual with them. Whenever they talk about drama, Japanese anime, football, video games and so on, I will just keep quiet and feel left out. I am not into all these things nowadays. I have started to think that I should not waste so much time on unnecessary things. Maybe topics like studies, future happenings and social/current issues will interest me more.

Mum is not working and dad is going to retire soon. I can't afford expensive fees for my tertiary education as I do not want to give more burden to my parents. I still have a sister who is still in primary six. Unless I can get a scholarship, studying overseas or in 'branded' university is a big 'NO' for me. Speaking of scholarship, I think my chance of getting it is very slim as I did really bad for my A-level. Well, there is no point of regretting about it but to move on. =)

Last time I told you all that I would like to pursue the Bachelor of Language and Linguistic (Japanese) in Universiti Malaya. Since I do not want to waste more time, I have decided to take Bachelor of Communication (Hons) Broadcasting in UTAR for the January Intake. As for Japanese language, I will do part time study for it during weekends in ICSL. I hope my decision on this will not surprise anyone of you.

Anyway, I am looking forward to Sabah trip with the people from the most ideal class, SN10R. The trip was clashed with the first day of the class (17 January) though, so I will be missing four days of lectures, which I heard it is just introduction for subjects taken and there is no tutorial for the first week!

Lucky me! Sabah, here I come! =P

Happy New Year 2011

Time flies. Another great year has passed.

Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right. Like birds, let's leave behind what we don't need to carry. Keep the smile, leave the tear, think of joy, forget the fear, hold the laugh, ignore the pain, be happy because it is a new year!

Wish everyone Happy New Year 2011. May god bless all of you throughout the year 2011!

By the way, I am turning 20 this year. I do not really like to have my age start with the digit '2' because I want to be 18 forever. LOL

Folks, so please note that my age is 18 years and 18 months. Thank you very much.

p/s : 1818 is really a nice number, isn't it? =P
