Back to KL

Hey, peeps. I'm back! An awesome food trip in Penang and Ipoh.

Places we have visited:

1. Gurney Plaza

Visited the eateries nearby to enjoy various cuisine such as grilled fish, fried oyster omelette, char kuey teow, prawn mees and etc. After dinner, we went to the plaza for awhile to get some groceries.

2. 1st Avenue Mall

It's a newly opened city mall in the heart of Georgetown along Jalan Magazine. The mall spreads over 7 retail levels. The architecture of the building is very modern and stylish.

3. Paradise Sandy Beach

One of the most famous beaches in Penang. Beaches are my favorite. I really enjoyed the breeze and the sound of seawaves.

4. Chew Jetty

The biggest waterfront village in Georgetown. 'Chew' is a famous last name and this means that the entire long stretch of jetty are residents with the surname 'Chew'. A must-visit tourist attraction.

5. Penang Road Cendol Stall

Located in a quite secluded street near Prangin Mall. Well, I think the Melaka one is still the best. =P

6. Penang Hill

The railway system has improved vastly. I remembered taking half an hour to reach the hill and the rail is stuffy. Now, it only takes about 5 minutes and the rail has good ventilation with air conditioner.

7. Kek Lok Si Temple

The largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia. Also known as The Temple of Supreme Bliss. We also visited a eatery nearby for the most famous Asam Laksa in Penang.

8. Lou Wong Restaurant

Ate the Ipoh's famous bean sprout chicken and kuey teow here. We also went to the shop nearby to buy local products.

I'm still waiting my friend to upload the photos. Stay tuned for my Facebook! =D

p/s: The image above is my most favorite photo taken during the trip.

4 Down, 1 More To Go

Sorry for deserting my blog for quite some time. I am in the middle of an exam period. xD

Four down, one more to go. Last paper on 21st September. Need to wait almost one week. Booooooooring.

After the paper is done, I'm off to Penang for FOOD trip with my classmates. I love food so much. I'm a gourmand. Really looking forward to it. =D

So far all the papers are quite OK. At least they were not as hard as the A-level papers that I'd taken last two years - Maths, Physics, Economics & Further Maths (which I dropped in the end). Pffffffft.

I could say A-level is really a good foundation course for university as it requires student to have critical thinking in various subjects. The bad thing about A-level is it does not have coursework for students to do some hands-on work.

I suffered in the last semester as I couldn't get used to handling assignmentSSS. But things are getting better now and I'm ready for the 3rd semester.

A short semester with 7 weeks. Need to cover up 14 weeks of lectures and tutorials. Classes are doubled up. It's gonna be HARDCORE. LOL

Take care peeps. =)

One Day Trip to Kuala Selangor

Visited Kuala Selangor yesterday with my mum, sister, aunt and her boyfriend. Together with other families, we were on a tour bus to 'Abode of Sincerity' at around 9a.m.

The first stop of the day. Kuil Buddha Siam. (释迦中心)

My Chinese zodiac! >.<

The huge golden pig! My sister's Chinese zodiac is not pig anyway.

This is her Chinese zodiac, Rabbit.

Mum with her Chinese zodiac golden statue.

Golden dragon statue.

The second destination of our trip. A factory that manufactures bird's nest. Nothing much to see though.

Behind me is a building where they raise swallows and collect their saliva.

The best dish of our lunch, Tom Yam Prawns.

The Bukit Melawati was the next visit, where they are lots of monkeys and macaques. This was the first monkey that I met during the visit.

Troupes of silver leaf monkeys and long-tailed macaques.

Look at the child and the monkey. They were not afraid of each other!

Mum did not hesitate to take a picture with monkeys after she realised that they were harmless. Haha.

A monkey with its baby with vivid orange fur, colloquially known as golden monkey.

Have a closer look. Hundreds of them. @.@

A scenery of Sekinchan village (适耕庄). It was about to rain that time.

Young rice plant.

The weather kinda spoiled the beauty of this picture. =.=

The best dish of our dinner, 'Buddha jumps over the wall' (佛跳墙). LOL

After the dinner, we went to Sekichan Village Food House which is nearby the restaurant to hunt for local products.

On the way back home. Specky and nerdy-look siblings.

Last camwhore of the day. =P

Sekian, terima kasih.

A Bad Trip on Independence Day

One of the suckest trip ever. I would rather stay at home.

The tour bus is a crap. A reckless and lost driver. Screw the traffic jam and any other hassles today.

I'm off for a shower now. I will update the good side of the trip in the next day. Stay tuned peeps.

Anyway, I wish that I'm not too late to say Happy 54th Birthday, Malaysia!
