Epi 13: Outing in Gardens

Today, I supposed to meet Yit Nian in our alma mater to get some documents. But I received his SMS in the morning saying that he could not make it because he had to go for driving lesson. I sighed. Damn, I was being stood up again! Well, I would take it easy as I had already get used to it. =.=

I just did not want to spent another boring day at home. In my deep thought, I was reminded that Them Hong and Jeremy were going to Gardens to look for jobs today. Bingo! Why don't I hang out with them and spend some money? >.<

I met up with Jeremy and Them Hong at a bus stop. Oh my god! Guess what? They were wearing the same colour shirt and jeans! Sounded like they were going for a GAY date and I was the third wheel. I shouldn't have gone hang out with them to spoil their "FUN". XD

Upon reaching Gardens, I accompanied them to go a restaurant called Italiannies for walk-in interview. Unfortunately, the manager told them the interview forms were not available at the moment and the interview would only be conducted after 12p.m. tomorrow. Them Hong and Jeremy looked disappointed but they seriously want to get the waiter because the salary was too attractive. RM10 per hour. Wow! Well, they will be back for the interview at the next day. Wish them good luck! ^^

After lunch in Mac Donalds, we were supposed to watch a movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but thanks to Jeremy for inducing Them Hong to sign up for Redbox member card and we ended up singing karaoke in Redbox. Well, I guess we have to keep the movie for another hang out in Times Square tomorrow.

Hey, almost forget to tell you guys a joke. Jeremy and I actually did not bring much money for hang out today. Before entering the Redbox, we afraid that we would not have enough money to pay for the bill. It was RM20++ per person and our wallet got less than the amount. Them Hong who was the RICH "HERO", said he would fork out the money for us first. Jeremy and I were surprised with Them Hong's generosity and asked, "Are you sure or not? It's RM20++ per person!"

Here comes the joke. Out of the sudden, Them Hong was stunt and asked loudly, "Huh? I thought is RM20++ per room!" Jeremy and I burst out in laughter at the crowd. ROFL. Well, if the room were RM20 nett, Red Box would be full like mad, Jeremy added. I laughed until stomachache and if you were there, I was sure you would do too.

Got to go. Ciao.

Epi 12: One day trip in Selangor.

On the 22th February 2009, my family and I went for a one day bus tour in Selangor. This was the first time that we had no idea where we were going for a trip. Strange huh? Well, we were going to so called GOLD COAST in Malaysia. It was a new tourist attraction in our country, so not many people had visited there. Gold Coast was located in Sepang and it was still under development. At first, we were confused about this place because we thought Gold Coast only existed in Australia.

When everyone was on the bus, we are told by the tour guide that we would visit Gold Coast in the afternoon. In the morning, we visited some factories in Selangor. The first factory that we visited was Sai Kim Entreprise Sendirian Berhad, where the sea cucumber and fish products were wholesaled.

Just look at my face expression and you will know how cold is the freezer room, where the fish products are kept fresh.

The biggest salty fish that I find in the freezer room.

After visiting Sai Kim Entreprise, we went to visit Malaysia largest chocolate paradise which was located near Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). It was an extra agenda added by our tour guide. We, who supposed to have one day trip in Selangor, were heading to Kuala Lumpur to visit Cocoa Boutique. After that, we went back Selangor to visit a nutrition centre, where the health supplements were wholesaled. We attended a talk that was conducted by a nutritionist and she induced us to buy the health supplements. Well, my mum bought some of them because they were really much cheaper than the market price.

After lunch, we went to visit few places such as soy sauce factory, dragon fruit garden and fish ball factory. Then, we were finally heading to Sepang Gold Coast. Upon reaching there, all of us could not stop with the "WAH" sound. It was beautiful indeed. Unfortunately, we only spent about 15 minutes there because there was a downpour. Urgh! I really hate this weather for being a party pooper. The Gold Coast was the main reason I came for this trip! T.T For now, just forget about it then. We will come some other day when the Gold Coast is fully developed.

After the disappointment, we went to visit a Hindu-Buddha temple in Banting before going for our dinner. We had dinner in a seafood restaurant - crab, fish, prawn, fried mee etc ALL my favourite! :)
We went back to KL around 8pm and I called it a day.

Epi 11: Bye, Streamyx.

I am finally using P1 W1MAX wireless broadband. Well, it signifies the end of using Streamyx service in my family. I am kinda begrudge to say goodbye to Streamyx because I have used its service since I was Standard Five. I used to be a Streamyx fan, but now I have to tell you Streamyx really sucks to the maximum! It pisses me off these few months by disconnecting all the time. I am sick of it but I feel relief after using wireless Internet. Today, I go to a telecommunication shop and tell the person-in-charge that I want to sign up for P1 W1MAX. I sign a two-year contract and I get a FREE modem which cost RM999 (written on the brochure). Come on, This is totally crap! If a modem really costs that much, it will not be free for the subscribers. A person who sign up for one-year contract will have to pay RM199 for the modem. If two-year contract, the modem is totally free. After all, it is about the psychology effect to hit the market! After the registration, I go a computer shop to buy a wireless router. When I bring it home, I have difficulty to configure the settings. Damn. I should have asked the shopkeeper to configure it instead of teaching me. I bring back the router to the shop and ask him to configure it for me. Goobye, Streamyx. :)

Epi 9: P license, I gotcha!

I passed the driving test on my first try! I was so glad and wanted to explode with loud cries of joy. Today, It is gruelling to wake up at 6.30am in the morning because I do not usually wake up that early. The driving instructor come my house at about 7.30am. Together with another two friends - Elly and Kalidass, we are on our way to Bangi, where the driving test will be conducted. Wow. Three of us are of different races and this is what we call "muhibah". XD Upon reaching there, we are shocked by the sea of faces. There are so many people indeed. After registration, we wait for our turn to take the test patiently. First, the candidates are tested for stopping on the slope, follow by parking and three point turn. Well, I passed all of them without a hitch. When these three tests are done, candidates will go to another station for 'on the road' test. The eye of heaven is blazing up the sky and everyone is sizzling in it. While waiting for my turn, I spent my time making new friends and playing PSP. Waited nearly about three hours, it is finally my turn to go for 'on the road' test. When I enter the car, I greet the officer who has the fierce look and strict in judgement. He is kinda plump. When I try to enter or change the gear, his bulky leg is kinda blocking me to do so. Haha. I passed 'on the road' test with 17 out of 20 and I really satisfy with it. Phew. I sighed with relief. Elly and Kalidass do well too for 'on the road' test. But unfortunately, Elly is too nervous for her parking and she accidentally drop one of the posts. She has to redo the test next week. Wish her good luck and all the best! At around 5pm, we are on our way back to home.

Epi 8: Happy Valentine's Day.

What is so special about 14 February? It is a date where flowers, gifts and chocolates are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. According to a legend, St. Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. At that time, Rome was ruled by an emperor named Claudius. Many people did not like him because he wanted the men to join the army. As a result, not many men signed up for the army because they did not want to fight in wars and leave their families. This made Claudius furious and he had an insane idea. He thought that if men were not married, they would join the army. Then Claudius decided not to allow any more marriages. The new law was cruel indeed. St. Valentine did not support the law at all and he kept on performing marriage ceremonies for many couples - secretly, of course. One night while performing a ceremony, unfortunately, he was caught red-handed and sentenced to death. While in the prison, it is believed that St. Valentine fell in love with a young girl who was a jailor's daughter. Before his death, he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'Love from your Valentine'. St. Valentine died on February 14, 269 A.D. Now, every year on this day, people remember about St. Valentine and they think about love and friendship. Well, celebrate this day well with your loved ones especially family, not necessary with your girlfriend or boyfriend. XD

Epi 7: Thanks for coming!

First of all, I would like to tell you my open house supposed to be held on 7th February. But since a lot of my friends could not make it on that day, I made ANOTHER open house which is earlier, on 31st January. I invited ten people to come but only six of them turned up. They were Them Hong, Chin Hong, Audrey, Yi Theng, Yen Yee and Chee Hoe. Them Hong was the first one to arrive and we had some chit-chat while waiting for the rest. I told him I was running a temperature at 5am but fortunately I managed to recover when I woke up at 9am. If I had not recovered, the open house would have cancelled, I afraid. Chin Hong fetch the girls from Maluri LRT station to my house and they arrived at 1pm. By the way, where was Chee Hoe? Haha. When we had just finished our lunch, he called me and said he was lost at the GIANT. All of us went to fetch him by Chin Hong's car. Before going back to my house, we all went to visit Them Hong's house. We played few rounds of Blackjack and Chee Hoe was the banker. Well, luck did not really knock on his door as he lost some money to us. Haha. Since Chee Hoe had not eaten, everyone went back to my house and had lunch for the second time. After that, we played some games and the punishment for loser was drinking the beer. When Chin Hong was "destined" to take the beer, he said he could not do so because he had to drive us home later. GOOD EXCUSE but we would not let him go that easily. Well, we played a practical joke on him by using the eyeliner to doodle his face. OH MAN. This was far worse than drinking a beer. Everyone stayed in my house until 5.30pm. We went to Time Square to buy Baskin Robbin because they would be 31% discount on that day and in passing, we wanted to visit Win Nie who was working there. I bought half gallon of the ice cream but it became like cream soup when I brought home. The four flavours mixed together but thank god it was still delectable when I tried it two days later. >.<

Epi 6: Angpau Hunting Day.

On the 29th of January, I went to visit Chee Hoe's house because I was invited to his open house in conjuction with Chinese New Year. Since I did not really know how to go to his house, I went there by Meng Tsu's car. We reached Chee Hoe's house at 12pm sharp. There were about 18 people went to his house - Me, Bobo, Pui Yan, Yi Theng, Audrey, Yu Shaun, Kentson, Meng Tsu, Chin Hong and CBN girls. We played MAFIA before lunch since they were so many people. In this game, we were asked to figure out the real mafias among ourselves with helpless clues. It was fun because nobody knew I was one of the mafias at the first game. Haha. After lunch, we went to Audrey's house by walking as it was just a throwing stone distance from Chee Hoe's house. In her house, we had fun playing Mahjong and Chinese Poker which is also known as Cho Dai Di. At around 4pm, we went to Olivia's house by Audrey's mum and Meng Tsu's car. On the way to her house, we were lost for about an hour as Pui Yan gave the wrong direction. She said sorry to everyone and promised to treat us raw fish salad (Yee Sang). Well, all of us would remember that. It was raining and we reached Olivia's house at 5pm. We were surprised to see Kah Hoong was there. He came back from National Service for one week holiday. All of us lost money to Olivia in Blackjack. She was a banker in luck. I made some new friends in her house - James, Hazel, CD, Se Wei, Crystal etc. At 8pm, we went to Bryant's house by Olivia's parents' cars. We did not stay there for too long because we wanted to hang out in Leisure Mall. We planned to walk there but it was still raining, so Bryant sent us there by car. We had our dinner in Wong Kok restaurant. Whose house should we go next after dinner? Of course we were going back to our own house! Well, I "hunted" four angpaus through visiting friends' house that day. XD
