There will be an exceptionally huge turnout today.
Many Malaysians are looking forward to Bersih 2.0 Rally, organised by Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections. It is supported by Pakatan Rakyat, the coalition of the three largest opposition parties in Malaysia but has been deemed illegal by the government.
Bar Council Ambiga Sreenevasan demanded that the Election Commission of Malaysia (EC) to clean up the electoral roll, reform postal voting, use indelible ink, introduce a minimum 21-day campaign period, allow all parties free access to the media, strengthen public institutions, stop corruption and dirty policies.
The government is surely getting paranoid. Or rather fearful? The Walk for Democracy simply call for free and fair elections, that's all. If the government is doing all it could to stop this rally, (like shutting down the roads?) it only shows that they do not care for the rights of the citizens.
Wanna call Malaysia a democratic country? Totally nonsense!
Some people think the rally is troublesome and ruined their weekends. Think again! If Bersih ruined your weekends, let's see how you weekends would be with the wrong government. Malaysians, it's time to wake up. Stop being ignorant. Know what is happening around the country and start being a responsible citizen.
Know your Right! Fight for Justice!
