Genting Trip

Just back from Genting trip. I am freaking EXHAUSTED right now, but I am glad I have achieved one of the objectives during the holiday, i.e. go for a Genting trip with SN10rians. One down, SIX to go. =)

17 of us took bus from Pekeliling bus station to Genting Highlands yesterday. Some of us including me only stay for the first night and some of us stay for two nights. We only managed to reserve one room in the Theme Park Hotel and imagine how 17 of us can 'squeeze' into one room. Well, that was the cause for my sleepless eyes and nobody would have slept well indeed.

This morning, not all of us going for the theme parks as many of them were tired and were sleeping in the hotel room. I am proud of myself today because for the first time in my life, I have taken the most scariest ride in outdoor theme park, The Solero Shot. I kind of afraid of heights and I do not know why I got the guts today to take the ride. XD

Holidays.

"1, 2, 3, not only you and me, got one eighty degrees and I'm caught in between..." the ringtone was heard while I was sleeping in my hostel and it made me raise my eyelids that weigh a thousand kilograms. I got annoyed but I woke up and answered the call.

"Hey, dad and I are coming to pick you up in few minutes time. Get Ready." Mum said.

"Ok, mum." I mumbled. I looked at the time and date with my half-closed eyes, it was 8.00am, 21 November 2009. Guess what? Well, today is the School Pre-University Studies (SPUS) Parent-Lecturer Day of TAR college. I "swifted" to the bathroom and get myself clean before my parents came.

After having our breakfast, we headed to the SPUS classrooms to see my fellow lecturers. First, I went to see my (Further) Pure Maths lecturer and (Further) Applied Maths lecturer, followed by Physics lecturer, General Paper lecturer and Economics lecturer. The lecturers gave me lots of good comments and words of motivation. Really appreciated them a lot. =)

The Parent-lecturer day marked the end of first semester and the beginning of the semester break. Everyone loves holiday, who doesn't? But six weeks holiday sounds disastrous to me! Boredom will be my main 'obsession' and I will have to spend some time to do revision for my AS syllabus. Since it is a long, long holiday, I have made some plans that need to be accomplished before the next semester start.

1. Going for Genting trip with my crazy bunch of SN10rians!
2. Meet up with primary/secondary school friends.
3. Study English for my General Paper.
4. Brush up my Japanese language.
5. Finish reading all my story books that I have bought earlier.
6. Revise AS syllabus for all the subjects especially Physics and Further Maths.
7. Get a part-time job for weekends.

I wanted to go for School of Business Studies's (SBS) Prom Night but the tickets had sold out. Urgh! Blame Wai Xiang for not reserving the ticket for me. =P

Lastly, I just want to say

SN10r totally ROCKS! =D

Happy Holiday to all of you and I will definitely miss you guys during the holiday!

p/s: Credit to one of our 'class flowers', Ng Ting Ting who have edited this photo and thanks to Calvin Boey's family for organising the best barbeque party ever! =)

Farewell.

I would like to send my farewell wishes to two friends here, Kam Yih Neng and Sia Qi Ren. Both of them were leaving for United Kingdom in few weeks time to pursue their studies and venture a new life.

Besides Marilyn and Ying Hui (my SN10r classmates), Kam Yih Neng is also one of the friends that I know during the first day of class. Four of us were quite close at first as we always sit together in lecture hall and chat like old friends together during breaktime. The impression that he gives us is quite cool and kinda serious. It's very hard to crack a joke that can make him chuckle. Well, he doesn't even laugh when he tells a joke to anyone! As time passes, we realise that he is a sleeper and skips classes often. LOL. Hey dude, please change your attitude LAH!

The guy in the middle is Sia Qi Ren. He is one of my housemates in Taman Bunga Raya housing area, located near TAR college. I was alone on the first day of staying in the house as many people have moved out and some housemates went back to hometown for holiday. I met him on the second day of staying and I find that he is a friendly housemate and he has a good personality. Just don't do anything that irritates him or he will be very crossed with you! XD

The picture above was taken yesterday, we went to hang out in Pavillion and watched A Christmas Carol in 3D cinema. Well, the movie was quite boring as they are too many dialogues, no subtitles and the accents were quite hard for me to catch the lines, but the graphics and animations were excellent. I will rate this movie 6 out of 10. =) I will recommend this movie to those who are studying graphic/multimedia design or any field that deals with animations.

After watching the 3D movie, I think I'm going to "bankrupt" soon. T.T

Few years ago, I lost one friend to United States, and another to Australia. Today, I will lost two friends to United Kingdom. Goodbyes will be said but they are not forever and are not the end of our friendship. Yih Neng and Qi Ren, it's been great knowing you guys. I would like to wish both of you all the best in UK and in your future endeavors. Do keep in touch with us! =)

May road rise up to meet you,
May wind be ever at your back,
May sun shine warm upon your face,
May rain fall softly on your fields,
Goodbye, until we meet again. =)

You guys have to watch this movie! It's truly amazing.

This movie is about two hours and a half but it is definitely a worth-watching movie. Actors and actresses from different countries, stunning special effects, thrilling scenes, touching lines and beautiful settings - just to name a few.

The year 2012 is coming very soon. Oh man, I don't want to die so early and in a painful way. T.T

Hey, check this movie out as well, Jennifer's body.

Don't always trust PRETTY and SEXY girls. They are all EVIL. LOL. XD

Will.

According to Wikipedia, a WILL, which is also known as a testament, is a legal declaration by which a person, the testator, names one or more persons to manage his estate and provides for the transfer of his property after the person's death. Many people have the wrong perception about writing a will as they think will writing indicates that a particular person is going to die and this does really sound bad to those who are superstitious especially the elder generations. In Malaysia, about RM4oo billions worth assets of the deceased is frozen and unclaimed under the Law of Malaysia. Well, that is a SHOCKING amount and it is because many do not write their wills while they are still alive.

Today, I accompany my mum to attend a talk organised by the ROCKWILLS at one of its branches located at the Old Klang Road. We find the talk was very informative and I will rate it 9 out of 10. We have learnt a lot about the importance of will writing. A person can always write his or her will anytime with the help of the lawyers or will companies. It's never too early or too late to write a will, as long as you have valuable property that you want to pass it down to your parents, spouse, issues and relative when you are not 'AROUND'.

Even if you do not write a will, there is always one after your death. The will is 'written' by the government according to The Distribution Act 1958(Amended in 1997).

As you can see from the distribution table above, if you do not write a will before your death, worst come to worst, the assets will belong to the GOVERNMENT. Even the property does belong to your beneficiary, it will take up to 10 years to claim those assets. The reason? You must know that Malaysia government's efficiency of doing work is the 'BEST'. Well, if a person has a will, the whole legal process will just take couple of months.

A person without a will might cause disastrous problems after his/her death. Family conflict will arise and the High Court will decide the distribution of your property. It might not be your wish and your family will definitely split up. I am sure you have heard about the cases in which the family of a millionaire or a celebrity is fighting with each other for the distribution of the deceased's assets.

My parents have decided to write their wills. I should be grateful that I have such wonderful parents because they are not only raising me up since I was in my mum's dummy, but they also make sure I am finacially protected in the future. Mum and dad, thanks for everything. I LOVE YOU ALL.

So, are you ready to write your will for your loved ones? =)

Slow Dance.

Below is a poem written by a terminally ill teenager in a New York Hospital. It was sent by a medical doctor. The young girl has six months left to live and her dying wish is she wanted to tell everyone to live life to the fullest through this poem, since she will never do so. Please pass this poem on. =)

Slow Dance

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a
Butterfly's erratic fly?
Or gazed at the sun
Into the fading night?
You better slow down
Don't dance so fast
Time is short
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask "How are you"?
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie on the bed
With the hundred chores
Running through your head?
You better slow down
Don't dance so fast
Time is short
The music won't last.

Ever told your child
"We'll do it tomorrow."?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die?
Cause you never had time
To call and say "Hi".
You better slow down
Don't dance so fast
Time is short
The music won't last.

It's Over.

The gruelling exam week has finally passed. Some papers I did OK, some paper I did awfully. Today it's the worst day of the exam week as I did my Physics paper "EXCELLENTLY". There are many uncertainties in my answers and I did not answer most of the subjective questions. Overall, I think my paper is quite 'clean' and 'screwed'.

After the Physics test, a lot of people were moody and some of them even break down. No doubt that the paper was hard and most of the students cannot manage to finish the paper. You study hard, do all the tutorials but in the end you did not make it well for the test. Imagine how dissapoint you will get. I guess this is what we called LIFE huh? >.<

Somehow, we still have to enjoy life even there are many trials and tribulations. After the exams, my classmates and I went to GREENBOX for singing session. There are only ten of us because most of the classmates wanted to go back to their hometown. After having our lunch at Gasoline, we sing as joyful as we can to release the stress that we get from the exams.

I cannot guarantee that I will pass the Physics paper with 40 marks or above but I am more concern about my scholarship. If I fail Physics, merit scholarship given by TAR college with be withdrawn and I will have to pay my fees for the next semester. Urgh! If this is going to happen, I will feel sorry for my parents because I have increased their burden.

Anyway,

EXAMS IS FINALLY OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

XD
