After 'surviving' from the doomsday, I attended the event mentioned on 22nd and 23rd December. It was one of the best seminars that I had attended so far as all the guest speakers were all enthusiastic and inspiring.
To most of the people, seminars are considered boring events but that is not the case in Amway Moving Up Seminar. From a youth to a midget, from a businessman to a housewife, people from all walks of life had shared their backgrounds and how they succeeded in Amway business. There is no better motivation than real-life experiences.
To summarise the two-day event, I will briefly state each speaker's background and the main points of what they had shared:
1. 翁祥隆 (Founders Platinum, 24, Student)
- Started Amway business at age of 21
- Gave up the opportunity to study overseas
- Friends who laugh or look down on you, make them regret
- Life is short, make your parents proud as early as possible
2. 李小玲 (Executive Diamond, 36, Top INTI Graduates & Freelancers)
- Extremely poor family background, started unskilled labour since 4 years old
- Independent, work multiple jobs to pay for living expenses and university fees
- Started Amway business with her husband (farmer), in heavy debt condition
- Amway business is the best way to change your destiny, not complaining.
3. P.W. Chew (Executive Diamond, 67, Interior Design Business Owner)
- Stresses life quality really matters
- True value of Amway business - can achieve peace of mind
- Have youthful lifestyle despite his age, played the highest skydiving in Australia!
- Hard work should be recognised, not being charitied (被施舍)!
4. Peter Lee (Crown Ambassador, 60, Owner of 13 Types of Businesses)
- Be suave (潇洒) while doing Amway business, it's the fact that not everyone will appreciate and see the opportunity
- If you are unsatisfied with current condition, find a way to change it instead of keep complaining.
- You have to build your courage to do business
- To succeed, you have to hungry for success and never give up!
5. 马文觉 (Platinum DD, 22, Student)
- Chinese educated, did not further studies in Taiwan due to unsatisfactory result
- All family members and friends threw a wet blanket on him for 7 months
- While parents are working hard to raise the family, you are resting and spending their hard-earned money, is that right?
- The speed of success must be much faster than the speed of parents' aging
6. Grace Wong (Diamond, 45, School Teacher)
- The competition between people is not intelligence level, but concept thinking
- In 21st century, your social relationship (network) = business asset = money!
- The ones who changed their concept thinking faster has become billionaires, e.g. Steve Jobs, Li Ka-Shing, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey etc
- To earn passive income, you have to become business owner or investor, not employee or self-employee (Robert Kiyosaki's ESBI quadrant)
7. 陈思莹 (Diamond, 44, Housewife)
- Started rubber tapping with parents since young
- Did not receive higher education due to poor family condition
- Hated doing direct selling, but wanted to improve her lifestyle badly
- The best gift for your family is indemnity, parents is honor, friends is hope
8. 骆翠玲 (Founders Plantinum, 30, Midget)
- A persons suffer from dwarfism, most inspiring speaker of the seminar
- Being looked down by others, including her family members too.
- Faces challenges ten times harder due to her physical size, but she never gives up.
- If she can do it, we can do it too!
9. 林海峰 (Executive Diamond, 44, Nutrition Master)
- World's top nutritionist, currently working with Germany's INUS hospital
- The best way to maintain health is through sufficient nutrition and thinking
- Whatever that has negative element, let it go. Negativity is the roots of most diseases.
- Don't conclude your life easily, so that it has lots of possibilities
