Things You Can Never Undo

A young lady was waiting for her flight in the boarding room of an airport.

As she would need to wait many hours, she decided to buy a book to spend her time. She also bought a packet of cookies.

She sat down in an armchair to rest and read in peace. Beside the armchair where the packet of cookies lay, a man sat down next to her, opened his magazine and started reading.

When she took out the first cookie, the man took one also. She felt irritated but said nothing. She just thought: 'What a nerve! If I was in the mood I would punch him for daring!"

For each cookie she took, the man took one too. This was infuriating her but she didn't want to cause a scene. When only one cookie remained, she thought: "ah... What this abusive man do now?"

Then, the man, taking the last cookie, divided it into half, giving her one half.

Ah! That was too much! She was much too angry now! In a huff, she took her things and stormed to the boarding place.

When she sat down in her seat, inside the plane, she looked into her purse to take her sunglasses, and, to her surprise, her packet of cookies was there, untouched, unopened.

She felt so ashamed. She realised that she was wrong. She had forgotten that her cookies were kept in her purse. The man had divided his cookies with her without feeling angered or bitter, while she had been very angry, thinking that she was dividing her cookies with him.

But now there was no chance to explain herself, nor to apologize.

There are four things that you cannot recover:

1. The stone after the throw.
2. The word after it's said.
3. The occasion after the loss.
4. The time after it's gone.

This story reminded me a Hari Raya commercial:

Selamat Hari Raya (belated) to ALL.

Success

The road of success is never crowded, because giving up is easier than persisting.
If you keep your dreams big, all problems will become nothing.
Winners find a way, losers find excuses.
Let's succeed together!

Unique Taste of Malaysia - Episode 1

Hey guys, check this out. It's one of my work recently in Mediasaya. My supervisor assigned me to do an individual program. I have to produce at least one episode for each month. I decided to do a programme introducing extraordinary food/drink/dessert found in Klang Valley and I named it 'Unique Taste of Malaysia'.

Chew Chew Chow Tofu, is a stinky tofu restaurant located in Kepong Baru. Initially, I did not know about this restaurant until a friend invited me there. I personally love stinky tofu dearly and I found the food there gave me a different sensation of eating stinky tofu. LOL Thus, I decided to highlight it in my first episode.

I'm not sure how many people out there likes stinky tofu as I do, but I'm sure there are many people hate it. They can't stand the stink and claims it tastes like shit. But those who can bear with the smell and eat it before, they will definitely enjoy it for life.

Ok-lah. Enough writing. Just watch the video. Made tons of mistake but I will try my best to improve for the next episode. Hope you enjoy watching. Kthxbai.

Mediasaya Sdn Bhd

It's been awhile.

Started my internship two weeks ago and everything was great. Unlike working in other big production houses or media company, I do not have to work long or shift hours. I plan, script, shoot, edit at my own pace and time.

Everyday I go to the office at 9.30am and leave on time at 6.30pm. My supervisor will have a two to three hours discussion or sharing session with me daily so that I can learn something new and how to make a better production.

In Mediasaya, I am considered as high-end slave (LOL), according to my supervisor. I was given the position Creative Media Executive but I don't get paid at all for interning in the company. Some of my friends and family members said it wouldn't be nice if you work for a company without allowance.

On second thought, internship is about getting experience before venturing into the real working world, not earning money. If I could get valuable knowledge and priceless experience from a company, all these will worth much much more than a piece of money.

I will update again soon.

Below is a time lapse video done by me about the 'punch card' system of my company:

Final Year in UTAR!

Happy Chinese New Year to all of you! I know it's kinda late to wish you all, but please forgive me. I am just very lazy to update my blog.

University life is quite OK right now. Just too much of holidays before this. Because of that, I feel hectic when the assignments start piling up like a mountain and there are many replacement classes in the coming weeks.

Had a meeting for Multiple-Camera Production (MCP), one of my final year projects, with my group members this early morning. I was interested to become the Floor Manager of the production team but at the end I did not get the position due to 'democracy voting'.

After the meeting ends, few friends asked me whether I was upset with the outcome of the meeting. I answered them I'm more than fine. If I was the person I used to be, I would surely get very disappointed and emotional about it up to few days. Well, I've truly learnt how to let nature take its course.

Life is not a bed of roses. Things don't always go according to our wills, but perhaps it is the best act by God. I thank Him for giving me such a great learning environment that keep teaching me how to think positively, the true meanings and values of life, i.e. my business centre.

It's my final year in UTAR already. I will do my best and graduate without a hitch. Fighting! =D

p/s: Just in case you will misunderstand, I am not a Christian. I'm a Buddhist/Taoist who acknowledge the existence of God. I think most religions believe the existence of Him. Ciao.

Happy New Year 2013

The year is going to end in few more hours.

Mixed feelings. I'm getting one year older soon! *sob*

Time travels in the speed of light. I can still remember vividly what I did last year December. Christmas caroling in Genting Highland. Two weeks of joyful memories and I really miss it. In this year December, I'm one of the survivors of the so-called 'the end of the world'. Yayyy! xD

I had the most terrible month of the year. Nothing is smooth in the whole month I guess. I don't want to list out one by one here as I've gotten over them, and no point mentioning the bad things that have happened in the past. Life is short, so just let it go.

I believe everything will be better next year.

I'm looking forward to meeting you, 2013.

Amway Moving Up Seminar (MUS)

After 'surviving' from the doomsday, I attended the event mentioned on 22nd and 23rd December. It was one of the best seminars that I had attended so far as all the guest speakers were all enthusiastic and inspiring.

To most of the people, seminars are considered boring events but that is not the case in Amway Moving Up Seminar. From a youth to a midget, from a businessman to a housewife, people from all walks of life had shared their backgrounds and how they succeeded in Amway business. There is no better motivation than real-life experiences.

To summarise the two-day event, I will briefly state each speaker's background and the main points of what they had shared:

(Founders Platinum, 24, Student)

  • Started Amway business at age of 21
  • Gave up the opportunity to study overseas
  • Friends who laugh or look down on you, make them regret
  • Life is short, make your parents proud as early as possible

(Executive Diamond, 36, Top INTI Graduates & Freelancers)

  • Extremely poor family background, started unskilled labour since 4 years old
  • Independent, work multiple jobs to pay for living expenses and university fees
  • Started Amway business with her husband (farmer), in heavy debt condition
  • Amway business is the best way to change your destiny, not complaining.

  • True value of Amway business - can achieve peace of mind
  • Have youthful lifestyle despite his age, played the highest skydiving in Australia!
  • Hard work should be recognised, not being charitied (被施舍)!

4. Peter Lee (Crown Ambassador, 60, Owner of 13 Types of Businesses)

  • Be suave (潇洒) while doing Amway business, it's the fact that not everyone will appreciate and see the opportunity
  • If you are unsatisfied with current condition, find a way to change it instead of keep complaining.
  • You have to build your courage to do business
  • To succeed, you have to hungry for success and never give up!

(Platinum DD, 22, Student)

  • Chinese educated, did not further studies in Taiwan due to unsatisfactory result
  • All family members and friends threw a wet blanket on him for 7 months
  • While parents are working hard to raise the family, you are resting and spending their hard-earned money, is that right?
  • The speed of success must be much faster than the speed of parents' aging

6. Grace Wong (Diamond, 45, School Teacher)

  • The competition between people is not intelligence level, but concept thinking
  • In 21st century, your social relationship (network) = business asset = money!
  • The ones who changed their concept thinking faster has become billionaires, e.g. Steve Jobs, Li Ka-Shing, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey etc
  • To earn passive income, you have to become business owner or investor, not employee or self-employee (Robert Kiyosaki's ESBI quadrant)

(Diamond, 44, Housewife)

  • Started rubber tapping with parents since young
  • Did not receive higher education due to poor family condition
  • Hated doing direct selling, but wanted to improve her lifestyle badly

  • Faces challenges ten times harder due to her physical size, but she never gives up.
  • If she can do it, we can do it too!

(Executive Diamond, 44, Nutrition Master)

  • World's top nutritionist, currently working with Germany's INUS hospital
  • The best way to maintain health is through sufficient nutrition and thinking
  • Whatever that has negative element, let it go. Negativity is the roots of most diseases.
  • Don't conclude your life easily, so that it has lots of possibilities

I hope you have learnt something new. There is no end to learning. =)

December 2012!

It's exam month. Will only finish my last paper on 19th. But exam is not going to stop me from I'm planning to do this month. I will do what I do best - cram and pass! xD

Everyone is talking about the end of the world at almost everywhere. So do I with my friends. I'm an optimistic person. I believe the world is not going to end. I haven't seen the world clearly and enough yet.

If the world is really going to end, well, so what? There is nothing we can do and we will be vanished ALTOGETHER. So afraid no more as you will have lots of company. lol

Whether the world ends or not, do appreciate your life and the loved ones around you. =)

Revisions, exams, caroling jobs, business meetings, appointments, family trip, seminars, nutrition classes, 21% bonus...... loads of things to do in the last month of the year. No time to think about the end of the world already.

Life still goes on. Ciao~

A Wonderful Day

Ya, I know. It's been awhile since I last updated my blog. I wonder if this blog still have visitors. My stories are kinda boring and not as interesting as those famous bloggers, and I'm too busy to write a new post. =P

Well, today is definitely a good day.

While I'm stressing out at music composition (MIDI editing) this afternoon, all my groupmates suddenly turn up and together we make a SO-CALLED not-so-bad music. To others (especially very pro in music composing), our final composition might sound awful but who cares, we still have the great sense of accomplishment! After all, we aren't expert in music knowledge.

During the completion of the assignment, received a call from a friend saying that she has a business deal for me. I get a contact number from her and immediately I call the prospect. I manage to close the deal on-the-spot and get to know more new people behind the prospect. Business starts to grow a little and I'm really happy about it, because it means profit/bonus is coming to me very soon. LOL

After sending the stock and servicing the customer at night, I head to business centre for meeting even though it's already late. But I never miss the best part of the meeting which is the leadership talk. Diamond (a pin level in Amway) is sharing with us what kind of a mindset a successful entrepreneur should have when facing many challenges. After the talk, all of us are requested to stay back at the centre to learn how to dance 'Gangnam Style' for an upcoming event - Eagle Project Graduation. Everyone, yes, I just said EVERYONE in the centre, regardless of their age and status (many are professionals or high pin level), are all learning how to dance 'Gangnam Style'.

Everyone gets high and is having fun. Well, you might be surprise that Amway has this kind of stuff. A lot of people think that Amway is merely a direct selling company, or begging/persuade people to buy products. But it has something much more than that. This business is really great and I hope people around me are able to see Amway in a different way - always having fun and being happy! =)

Good night. I still have some shits to clean up for my assignments. xD

48 Hour Film Project!

Skating on Thin Ice

I screwed up big time.

My coursework mark for Film Studies is not satisfactory and I'm facing the possibility of failing the subject.

I just hope that I will get a pass. Retake is a hell to students. And I really don't want to experience it.

Cross my fingers for my finals. Adios.

Late for Registration

The night before we were all rushing our editing for PSA and short drama, but the next morning they have course registration for the next semester. My university management have never been smart for once.

Slept at around 1am and set my alarm clock at 7.45am., but I woke up at 10am. Damn my stupid alarm clock! My first thought. Later I realised that the alarm clock did not malfunction, but I was sleeping like a pig and it got tired ringing.

I was very exhausted, indeed.

I am supposed to register four subjects for the next semester but now I can only register for two subjects. I guess I just have to wait until next semester to change my timetable at the office.

After the today's screening for PSAs and short dramas, it will be a big hooray for me and I want to sleep like a hibernating bear.

Zero for Quiz

My handphone battery dies in the morning. Alarm clock does not ring and I wake up late.

I receive a call from my classmate saying that lecturer is giving a sudden quiz. When I reach the classroom, the quiz ends and I get ZERO. *sob*

My heart aches a little because it's a true-or-false quiz and it make up 5 marks of the whole coursework. Film studies is a tough subject with 70% coursework, therefore I'm very concern about the quiz even though it is only 5 marks.

Being late for a class has a price to pay. =(

Lesson learnt: Charge my handphone battery before sleep. Lol.

Good night.

加油!=)

Power of Auntie

As usual, too many stuff to handle lately until I can't even take a good breath.

But I'm excited and happy. Even though I'm busy with assignments and TV production workload, my part-time business is going well. You know what, my mum is actually involving in it actively!

In previous months, my mum kept scolding and nagging me about getting involve in Amway. She always says things like "finish your studies first before doing Amway!", "don't ever ask me to do Amway, I will NEVER do it!", "why you always keep buying Amway products? Waste money!" and blah blah blah...

This month, my mum has closed plenty of products. Some on her own, and some with my assistance. Her sudden enthusiasm has really surprised me. She is a totally different person from last month!

Never underestimate the power of aunties. Their mouths are the best selling weapons.

Anyway, I just can't wait to share this great business opportunity to more people around me. I will do my best to make them understand that Amway can improve their lives and realise their dreams!

Good night.
